Some of us will be going on Mars. Lucky them! Or lucky us?!
Who knows?
We, humans, hardly earned our right to be here, on Earth, and yet we raised our eyes to the Red Planet. But, was not Mars meant to be lived by humans, was it? Everything single speck of dust will fight against us and will try to kick us out. Probably, this long-distance trip, adventure or how do we call it, will teach us a lesson on the importance of all we have down here, on our Blue Planet. Humans were Earth’s favorite children. Our Mother Planet used to (and still does) nurture us, care for us, dress us for centuries and centuries. In the beginning, the relationship between humans and their planet was good, considering the ancient ones were insignificant and obedient. From time to time, Nature had recurrent bursts of anger damaging the dependant beings. Unfortunately or not, the two-legged creature, owner of a very inquisitive mind, tried to take steps to ease his life and to make it less dependent on his mother. As soon as he had managed to improve his living, he became arrogant and started to make one mistake after another, hurting his mother nature. Fists, feet, elbows put the old lady down to her knees, but since she still loved his babies, she tried to undo the badness. Her powers grow weak, and it is our turn to act. We either can fly to Mars, leaving her at an “asylum” and hoping some aliens would come to do something about it, or we heal her wounds and help her live a wholesome life.
It depends on us.
And we should learn to live on Earth before planning to go away.
